    The role:

    • Liverpool City Council is seeking a Patrol and Response Officer to enhance community safety across the city
    • The Patrol and Response Officer role involves providing mobile security and enforcement services to a wide range of customers and communities to reduce and tackle aspects of crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour, and to reduce the fear of crime through proactive patrols and by using a range of enforcement. The successful post holder will work in close cooperation with internal and external partners, especially blue-light partners to promote the Safer Parks programme and contribute towards key themes within the Council Plan such as Thriving Communities
    • It is important to note that a good level of physical fitness is required for this role as it involves long periods of driving, foot and bicycle patrols, and opening / closing gates. The successful post holder may also perform guarding duties and respond to emergencies involving kneeling, bending or lifting
    • The ideal candidate will have a formal qualification in a relevant field or relevant experience in a uniformed role, along with a full, current UK driving licence and excellent communication and time management skills. The Patrol and Response Officer role involves working on a shift basis that covers weekend working, day and night shifts, and bank holiday working so a flexible approach is essential.
