As well as delivering an emergency service we also deliver a range of prevention and protection activities aimed at reducing fires and other incidents, including the enforcement of Fire Safety legislation. Have you got what it takes?The On-Call element of Hertfordshire Fire &amp; Rescue Service is fundamental to our emergency cover across the county. On-Call firefighters are a group of community spirited men and women who are ‘on-call’ to respond when their pager bleeps, having been called into action by our Fire Control Centre where 999 calls are handled. Many of our On-Call firefighters have other jobs and provide important fire service cover during weekdays, evenings and weekends. What does it take?<ul><li>Be over 18 years of age when the recruit course is due to start (there is no upper age limit)</li><li>Have the right to live and work in the UK</li><li>Not have any unspent criminal convictions (if you have a criminal record, you must let us know in your application)</li><li>Be less than 4 minutes away from your chosen On-Call fire station, locations of which can be found here fire station.</li></ul>There is no upper age limit for applicants. South Kesteven District Council has responsibility for looking after the streets, parks and public spaces in south Lincolnshire, including the market towns of Grantham, Stamford, Bourne and Market Deeping.&nbsp;
The Council is committed to improving the attractiveness of the district and ensuring that it is a clean safe place to live, visit and work.&nbsp;
Enforcement Officers play a key role in engaging face to face with the general public, dealing with enviro crimes such as; littering, fly tipping, dog fouling, domestic and commercial waste offences, graffiti, breaches of public spaces protection orders and issuing civil penalties for parking contraventions in Council owned carparks.
A key function of this role is to be the first point of contact for anti-social environmental crimes and to provide information and assistance to the general public whilst on patrol.

<h1>We are looking for individuals to keep St Helens Children stay safe on our roads. </h1>
Our School Crossing Patrol Operatives have an essential role in keeping local communities and pedestrians safe. Not only that, but your role is fundamental to ensuring the safety of children and other pedestrians when crossing in designated positions 
Experience and formal qualifications are not required but you will have a good rapport with children and adults, alongside an awareness of road safety. We are interested to hear from individuals from different backgrounds and at all career stages. If you've got the people skills to deal with children, drivers, parents and teachers, we'll train you to confidently manage the traffic! All of our Operatives receive full training in the role.
If you would like to work 5 hours a week, are reliable and enthusiastic and want to contribute to the community we would welcome your application to join our team - Our communities rely on our Officers to travel safely on their journey to and from school which is why we need people who can commit to cover times that support the individual school in the mornings and afternoons, 5 days a week during term time, and are happy to work outdoors rain or shine to make positive contribution to road safety summer and winter uniforms will be provided and you will be paid during school holidays.
