About the role
Join our Neighbourhood Services team and help keep Crawley clean and green!
Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in making a visible difference in your community? Our Neighbourhood Services team plays a vital role in keeping Crawley’s residential and communal areas safe, clean, and well-maintained and we’re currently recruiting for a permanent role supporting our Town Centre team. You’ll be involved in a variety of grounds maintenance tasks across the borough. While experience is helpful, it’s not essential – we’re happy to provide training for the right person.
We carry out a wide range of tasks including:
- weeding and pruning shrub beds
- hedge cutting and grass strimming
- grass cutting and fly-tip removal
- litter picking and bin emptying
To join us, you’ll need:
- a full UK driving licence
- confidence driving transit-sized vehicles
- the physical ability to carry out manual outdoor work

Working hours are:
- Monday to Thursday: 10am to 6pm
- Friday: 10:00am to 5:30pm
A full and current UK driving licence will be a requirement of the role. Post holder is required to wear a uniform.
