About the Role: Cashier

We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial and Operational Service Support Team as a Cashier. In this front-facing role, you’ll be a key part of delivering excellent service to the public, ensuring smooth and accurate financial transactions across our services.

As a Cashier, you will:

• Handle cash and electronic payments efficiently and securely.

• Provide friendly, helpful service to customers and colleagues.

• Reconcile daily transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

• Support other administrative and customer service tasks as needed.

• Uphold the council’s values in every interaction.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

• Reliable and trustworthy, with a strong attention to detail.

• Customer-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Organised and methodical, able to manage tasks independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable with basic IT systems and point-of-sale equipment.

• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is desirable, but not essential—we’ll provide full training for the right candidate.
