About the role
We are currently developing a number of strategies to support and enhance our environment, countryside, and parks, which includes our Parks Development Strategy, Tree Strategy and Local Nature Recovery Strategy.
It is truly is an exciting time to join the team as you will have a hand in implementing the outcomes of these strategies and have the opportunity to contribute to providing a significant positive benefit to the physical, mental, social, economic, health, safety, and environmental well-being of the residents of West Northamptonshire by helping delivering projects which will ultimately mitigate flood and fire risks and create green spaces for local people to enjoy.
Additional information
The position is part time (18 hours) Wednesday to Friday, and you will need to have good knowledge and experience across all aspects of the job. You will need to have a full UK driving licence, be physically fit, flexible in your approach to work to ensure the demands of the service are met and have a passion for the countryside and the natural environment.
You’ll need to have a solution driven and adaptable approach to working, thrive in a busy environment with a positive approach to challenges! There will be a need to work some Bank Holidays and Weekends when required.
You will have previous experience of working within a similar role and able to motivate and supervise voluntary groups. You will need to be confident and able to use diplomacy to manage challenging customers and when necessary to issue fixed penalty notices. You will need to be able to use your own initiative to 'think outside of the box’. You’ll use your great attention to detail to ensure you develop and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of customers, stakeholders, and partners.
