We're looking for someone to join our welcoming Country Parks team, part of Staffordshire County Council’s Environment &amp; Countryside Service. The team look after Staffordshire County Councils country parks, green spaces, and manage the county's public rights of way, and we’re passionate about helping people enjoy and understand Staffordshire’s natural and historic environment. As the Visitor Engagement Officer, you’ll help us deliver a great visitor experience at the Chasewater Innovation Centre and other countryside sites. You’ll run the day-to-day operations of the Innovation centre, support volunteers, visitor activities and events, and help make sure our facilities are safe, engaging and well-managed.You’ll also play a key role in raising awareness of the special features of our sites and encouraging responsible use. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you’ll carry out a wide range of practical tasks including grass cutting, strimming, hedge work, litter picking and general site care, ensuring high standards are consistently met across the borough.&nbsp;
You’ll take pride in the quality of your work, follow set schedules, and use machinery safely and responsibly, reporting any issues or defects as needed. Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll contribute to repair and improvement projects and help maintain excellent presentation of our sites, vehicles and equipment. Customer service is key, and you’ll interact professionally with residents, colleagues and visitors while representing the council.&nbsp;
This role is ideal for someone physically fit who enjoys outdoor work in all weather, has demonstrable experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture, and brings a flexible, reliable approach. Are you up for a challenge? We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work as part of the Dartford Borough Council Park Ranger Team within the highly respected, busy multi-functional Council Waste, Public Realm &amp; Enforcement Services section.
This is a uniformed role, working as part of a small team. Your focus will be on the Dartford Parks, other children’s playgrounds and open spaces and patrolling the Buccaneer Bay playground in Central Park, to a rota with other Park Rangers / Officers.
You will provide guardianship, security, reassurance and assistance to the public and be the eyes and ears of the Council and Police partners providing a friendly public face for the public. You will enforce byelaws and other relevant legislation including the issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices for offending behaviour such as dog fouling, littering, fly tipping, fly grazing and behaviour contained within the town’s Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO). You will be required to assist in dealing with unauthorised encampments, the use of surveillance cameras and public events that occur throughout the year within the Borough’s parks and open spaces. This is a physically active role which involves patrolling parks and open spaces on foot, the moving and siting of various items of heavy equipment. You will provide a reassuring presence and assistance to park users, prevent and deter anti-social behaviour.
Occasional evening and Bank Holiday working will be required, for which an allowance is paid.
Patrolling is both on foot and with use of 4x4 vehicles to move between sites as necessary. You may be required to attend at Court if and when required. You will work with other agencies such as Kent Police and the Environment Agency and you will also be involved, on occasions, with the work of other Council officers who deal with parks and open spaces, enforcement, events, licencing, town centre management and will also assist other Enforcement Officers as directed.&nbsp;
You should hold a full driving licence. Previous experience of working in a law enforcement, security, community support or similar role is desirable.&nbsp;

An opportunity has arisen within Sefton Council for us to recruit Casual Fitness Instructors to help support our 6 x Leisure Centres.
We are looking for experienced and passionate fitness instructors to cover a varying shift pattern including evenings and weekends. We are looking for individuals who can work as part of a team of instructors supporting, motivating and ensuring the safety of customers and visitors who use the fitness suite and associated facilities.&nbsp; You will support our members on their fitness journey; building rapport quickly to engage and educate them on the latest fitness trends, encouraging them take part in gym floor classes &amp; supporting them through their training. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential allowing you to deal with customers in a caring, friendly and professional manner.&nbsp; Ideally you will have an enthusiasm for fitness, a passion for results and the drive to help people change their lives.
The role is to conduct health checks, inductions, run synrgy classes and prescribe safe and effective programmes for member and users.&nbsp; To provide a presence on the gym floor and be available at all times to assist customers with their exercise programmes and ensure that they are using the equipment correctly. The positions will also involve membership sales and retention, actively promoting and encouraging customers and visitors to join as full paying members.&nbsp; Member interaction and retention initiatives are key indicators within our business, and you will need to demonstrate skills in these areas.&nbsp; The ideal candidates will have the ability to teach small group classes.
Qualifications 
This position requires a Level 2 Gym Instructor Certificate, with the desire to work toward Level 3 and a current first aid at work certificate would be desirable.&nbsp;

The ideal candidate should ideally be able to demonstrate a level of experience and knowledge commensurate with the position.
