    The Education Entitlement Service (EES) strives to deliver outstanding services for our customers, predominately the children of Coventry, who may be requiring access to education or alternative education provision. We ensure vulnerable children are appropriately supported; have a voice, that hopefully leads to their high achievement and excellent progress.

    The EES is made up of a diverse range of teams all working together to recognise, support and apply innovative solutions to address the growing issues in relation to trying to educate some of our most vulnerable pupils in schools.

    The Outdoor Education Service made up of experienced staff members provides high quality outdoor and residential experiences within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park.

    What is the job role?

    This role combines senior administrative expertise with project co-ordination skills to ensure the smooth and efficient operational support for the delivery of funded, non-funded, and commercial programmes and events along with other areas of the service.The Outdoor Education Senior Administrator and Project Co-Ordinator will provide crucial support in areas such as bookings, financial management, resource allocation and project delivery. The candidate will play a key role in enhancing the quality and accessibility of outdoor education programmes in the city.

    Job Purpose:

    • To provide a high quality administrative and general office support to the Outdoor Education Service team in line with service requirements
    • To offer guidance and support to all stakeholders and colleagues on the use of service systems e.g funded and non funded programme systems such as Eequ and Coventry City Council booking systems
    • To lead on the processing of finance, including production of finance reports and processing payments on Business World or via the correct team internally.
    • To serve as the primary administrator and central point of contact for designated OES-delivered programmes.
    • To ensure that Outdoor Education Service systems hold accurate and detailed data for all service users in line with GDPR.

    This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

You’ll be the backbone of our programme delivery—coordinating bookings, managing resources, and supporting both funded and commercial projects with precision and care. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with schools and young people, and have strong IT, communication, and administrative skills, we’d love to hear from you. Experience in outdoor settings or youth work is a bonus, and training opportunities are available for the right candidate. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic team, helping shape memorable experiences for children and young people across the city.
