We are recruiting an Occupational Therapist at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Ty Graddfa

Team: Community Resource Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to support Caerphilly residents to remain living as independently as possible, within their own homes. There is a key focus on supporting people to be able to achieve their wellbeing outcomes and to be able to do the things that matter to them.

The Occupational Therapists within the team provide a range of expertise with contributing to rehabilitation programmes, carrying out moving and handling assessments and supporting the team with advice regarding equipment and adaptations to aid independence.

We have a friendly team of Senior therapists to offer support and guidance, with a commitment to continual professional development and career development.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A Diploma or degree in Occupational therapy.
  • Knowledge of Social Services and Well-Being Act (Wales) 2014, Manual Handling Regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Experience of undertaking assessments that focus on the individual and the personal outcomes that they wish to achieve.
  • Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business/work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meeting and visit clients.
