Are you looking for a role where you can truly make a difference every day? Join our Reablement and Rehabilitation Service and play a key part in helping Islanders regain independence, confidence and quality of life. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical skills, lead specialist teams, and contribute to innovative practice across the Isle of Wight.
As an Occupational Therapist with us, you’ll work across the breadth of our short-term services alongside Physiotherapist colleagues, where you’ll help shape an enhanced model of support that includes our two “care call” teams, developing new ways of working for people with complex needs and higher-intensity packages of support.
You will take a lead role in delivering person-centred, strength-based assessments and interventions. This includes identifying meaningful goals, planning structured programmes to optimise independence, and prescribing aids, adaptations and therapeutic support to enable individuals to thrive in their own homes. You’ll also play a vital part in guiding and coaching colleagues across service areas, sharing specialist knowledge to improve outcomes for the wider community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day leadership, coordination and oversight of the Community OT Team.
- Leading on complex, higher-acuity cases and offering specialist advice across teams and partner organisations.
- Developing and shaping new approaches for individuals requiring higher-intensity or two-carer packages of support.
- Delivering person-centred clinical assessments and strength-based interventions.
- Working flexibly to respond to the changing needs of the service and the people we support.
If you’re passionate about empowering people, enjoy collaborative working and are ready to take on a role where no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you. This is your chance to join a supportive, forward-thinking service and help shape the future of reablement on the Isle of Wight.
