What we can offer you:

The opportunity to work with our amazing children and contribute to their learning journey

The opportunity to work alongside an experienced and supportive team.

The chance to lead learning in the indoor, outdoor and Forest School environments.

A highly inclusive school that is well respected within the local community and beyond.

Regular high quality training opportunities and staff meeting time each week to work with the whole team.

The opportunity to contribute to our school development plan. All staff are part of our school improvement teams and play a key role in our school's continuing development.

A reflective working environment where everyone strives to meet the needs of all of our children

Training and partnership working with our Family Hub team.

A highly experienced SEND team, including a non-teaching SENDCo/ Deputy Head and SEND specialist teacher, onsite who use a reflective approach and work with staff and families to support every child's learning.

A permanent contract.

The opportunity to be creative in establishing a purposeful learning environment for children who have just turned three, and those preparing to start primary school.

Be involved in our whole school role play action research project, where we are working together to maximise opportunities to develop learning in this area of the continuous provision.

Has experience working within early years, particularly preschool children.

Has knowledge and /or experience of the early years curriculum and development.

Is enthusiastic and contributes positively to our team.

Is reflective and has a 'can do' attitude.

The role involves:

Leading provision for a class of children working with experienced and knowledgeable TAs. This provides opportunities to work with children on a one to one or in small groups throughout the day, to support the development of their skills in the prime areas and using them as a vehicle to explore the specific areas.

Being strategic in leading your team to ensure that learning opportunities are maximised.

Working with our SEND team to continuously reflect on the provision and how children are accessing it; identifying at the earliest point where we may need to make changes and adaptations. Working with two other mainstream teachers, sharing expertise and knowledge.

Dedicated time to plan and reflect strategically about your provision with your team in regular staff meeting time.

Ganneys Meadow School and Family Hub is a large school set in extensive landscaped grounds with a meadow, woodland and an orchard, it really is a truly magical place for children to learn. We are working in partnership with a range of wider services from the Local Authority to offer a Family Hub model which supports the whole family.

Our school is a happy place to work, where all staff feel valued, appreciated and part of our team and this too was referenced in our recent Ofsted inspection.

This role is unique, yet highly rewarding, and has considerable scope for personal and professional development. Our 'I wonder' curriculum demonstrates our whole school commitment to everyone being a learner and continuing that journey of wondering through adulthood.

Please return completed application forms with a supporting letter to the Headteacher (Mrs Kathryn Kennedy) at the school address demonstrating how your experience meets the essential and desirable criteria.
