We are currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Team Leader- Safeguarding & Compliance, to join our successful and motivated Neighbourhood Team that helps and supports us deliver the best housing services within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH).

This business critical role oversees a team of Neighbourhood Officers, ensuring effective supervision across compliance, housing, and safeguarding. The role will deliver responsive housing management for all tenures, support safe and sustainable communities, and handle complex cases such as Domestic Abuse, Safeguarding, and Hoarding with empathy. The position includes providing expert advice to colleagues, ensuring legal compliance, supporting neighbourhood compliance, and prioritising residents' wellbeing in all services.

To be successful in the role you will need to have the following skills and experience:

Comprehensive knowledge of policies, procedures, and legislation relating to Domestic Abuse, Safeguarding, Hoarding, housing management, building safety, and fire safety within the social housing sector.

Proven track record in delivering housing management services across complex and diverse communities, ensuring effective service provision and positive resident outcomes.

Strong performance management expertise, including developing innovative approaches to meet and exceed performance targets within housing services.

Extensive experience in resident engagement, working closely with tenants, involvement structures, and community groups to build trust and foster collaboration.

Commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction, with demonstrable success in achieving high service standards and enhancing customer care.

Strategic contribution to housing policy and strategy, with the ability to influence both area-level and borough-wide housing initiatives.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead under pressure, negotiate with stakeholders, and deliver positive outcomes for communities.

Problem-solving and relationship-building abilities, consistently winning the trust and respect of tenants and residents while driving service improvements.
