Job introduction

Paid weeks per year: 43.89 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)

Fixed term: until 31 August 2026

Start date: ASAP (on completion of relevant employment checks)

About the role

Suitable candidates will be caring, patient and able to support children at lunchtime. Duties may include supervising children in the school hall during lunch, as well as supporting play in the playgrounds or around the school building.

• Encouraging healthy eating and good manners
• Helping to set up and clear down the school hall ready for the lunch service
• See that any spillage is removed quickly and trays are cleared appropriately
• Assisting the children during meal time where necessary
• Ensuring the safety of children
• Actively supervising outdoor or indoor play and interacting with the children
• Supervising children in their classrooms on wet days
• Providing basic first aid

Location: Westdene Primary School

Hours: 12 to 1pm Monday, Wednesday & Friday or a combination of these days to suit the candidate
