Midday Assistant – Grade 2 - 10 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

- Location: Grange Community Nursery and Primary School

- Salary: FTE £23,656 (pro-rata £5,381.85)

- Hours: 10 per week // 5 days per week // 38 weeks per year

- Contract: Fixed Term until 31st August 2026 in the first instance

The governors of Grange Community Nursery and Primary School would like to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Midday Assistant to join our innovative and nurturing team. This position is to commence in September 2025 and will be temporary in the first instance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that lunchtimes are an enjoyable and safe experience for all the children, so that they are physically and mentally prepared to learn during the afternoon.
  • The safety, welfare and conduct of pupils during lunchtimes, in classrooms, dining room, playground and when moving from one area to another.
  • Preparing the dining room for school lunches and clearing away afterwards.
