Community Support Services - MiCare, is a short-term integrated health and social care service that provides short term support to people in their own homes. We put people at the heart of the service and deliver exceptionally responsive, person-centred care which enables the individuals to live a life of their choosing. About the role…

As the MiCare Nurse duties and under the direction of the Assistant Team Manager, you will enhance health and social care support for MiCare service users in line with Rutland County Council policies, objectives, and standards. This role is central to promoting independence, enabling choice and control, and preventing unnecessary hospital or care home admissions.

Key Responsibilities include…

  • Support the development of a neighborhood and prevention agenda through a strong multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approach.
  • Provide clinical advice and support to the MiCare Team as required.
  • Deliver training on delegated healthcare tasks to staff.
  • Build effective links with GP surgeries and community nursing teams to ensure a holistic approach for individuals using the service.
  • Contribute to care planning that prioritises independence and well-being.

About you…

To be successful in the role you will need to have:

  • Registered Nurse (NMC) qualification
  • Experience in community health or social care settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to train and mentor staff on clinical tasks
  • Commitment to person-centred care and prevention-focused practice

It is essential that you have a full UK driving license and access to a car to enable you to work in this role.

The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.

The Micare Nurse interviews will be held towards the end of January and beginning of February 2026. Exact dates to be confirmed. Please be advised this could be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.
