Chelmsford Theatre is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Theatre and Arts team on a 15 month fixed term contract to cover maternity.
We’re looking for a confident team leader with a strong track record in arts marketing. The successful applicant will have experience delivering commercial objectives, using data to inform decisions, and driving results in a fast paced environment.
The Marketing Manager will promote more than 350 theatre shows each year across our thriving programme, leading key campaigns and projects that raise the profile of the venue, ensuring all activity reflects the theatres values: Popular, Playful and Progressive.
The core responsibilities include managing budgets, creating marketing strategies, booking advertising, setting and achieving growing sales targets, and overseeing artwork development for our annual pantomime and season brochures. Also supporting website management, handling sales reporting, driving bookings for our new studio space, and championing our community programme.
We are looking for a focused professional who enjoys collaboration and has a passion for theatre and the arts. The post holder should be solution driven, confident working with ticketing systems, and able to think on their feet while still making time to review and refine campaigns. The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator with a positive, approachable attitude and the ability to foster an encouraging team environment are essential.
Some evening and weekend work will be required for planned events.
