The role:

• The role of Market Operations Supervisor will provide excellent customer service to all users of the market service and ensuring any queries are dealt with in a professional and effective manner and includes the driving of Liverpool City Council vehicles up to and including 7.5 tonne (C1 licence required) alongside the completion of necessary paperwork and the safe compliant use of the vehicle
• As a Market Operations Supervisor you will take the operational lead of one of our pop up/ static market sites on any specific day as well as the planning beforehand. Ensuring a safe and compliant operation at all times, supervise and direct all staffing where required, alongside ensuring the best possible visitor experience alongside a commercially successful day for our traders
• Role includes supervising and supporting the safe loading and unloading of Liverpool markets equipment onto vehicles alongside set up and take down of market stalls/cabins and equipment on arrival at market sites indoor and outdoor
• As part of the role of Market Operations Supervisor you will take responsibility for all Health & Safety requirements whilst on site in line with relative risk assessments, legislation and procedure, completing any necessary paperwork
• The Market Operations Supervisor will work with the Markets Management/team to ensure an effective market offer via product type, trader offer and stall overall bookings in line with commercial targets as well as take the lead for the proper collection, reconciliation and record keeping of income at assigned market(s), inline with financial regulations and standing orders
