Job Title: Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) Highways Licensing & Strategic Road Team Leader
Salary: £45,624 – £52,038 per annum (pro rata if part-time)
Grade: F
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
About the Department
This role is an interesting and exciting opportunity to work in a small, proactive team keeping the road network flowing and ensuring compliance across all street & road work activity.
About the Role
As the LTC Highways Licensing & Strategic Road Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Co-ordinating all LTC works on the highway
- Build strong working relationships with all contractors and clients working on the LTC
- You will be the key component in ensuring network co-ordination for LTC works in conjunction with all other highway activities.
- Attend all LTC meetings and provide valuable and consistent messaging within those. Chair Thurrock Network Management meetings regarding the LTC and other highway works to ensure impeccable Network Management across all works and events occurring on the highway, whilst ensuring a consistent approach is taken with all those applying for network occupancy.
- Process and manage any highways licensing applications relating to the LTC.
- Maintain a professional and consistent manner at all times.
This role offers the chance to make a real difference by ensuring effective co-ordination across the boroughs road network.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Exceptional communication skills
- Intensive knowledge of the New Roads & Street Works Act (NRSWA) and the Traffic Management Act (TMA)
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Must be able to work on own initiative
Essential qualifications: Extensive knowledge of NRSWA & the TMA. Experience with processing and managing Highways Licensing applications.
DBS Check: Not required for this post.
