Hours Part–time, 20 hours per week

Salary NS8 £31,022-£32,597 per annum, pro-rata

We are now recruiting for a Licensing Enforcement Officer to join our dedicated Licensing Team to assist us to provide an effective licensing service which is responsible for the regulation of various licences and permissions, including alcohol sales, gambling premises, and taxis/private hire drivers & vehicles.

The main responsibilities of this role:

  • Assist in the enforcement of statutory and local licensing requirements, regulations and conditions;
  • Provide advice and support to members of the public, the trade, elected members and external partners;
  • Deal with licensees, prospective licensees and members of the public in a professional manner, providing help and guidance as appropriate; and
  • Undertake field-based enforcement to ensure compliance with various licensing schemes within the remit of the service and the timely payment of fees and charges in relation to all licensable activities.
