This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in one of the most significant changes to local government in Kent for a generation.
The Kent & Medway Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) Programme is supporting the development and delivery of proposals and transition arrangements that will help shape the future of local government across Kent.
As a LGR Programme Support Officer, you will provide essential programme, governance and administrative support to a high-profile programme working with senior officers, elected members, local authority partners, government departments and other stakeholders.
About the Role
Working as part of a dynamic programme team, you will help coordinate programme activities, support governance arrangements, organise meetings and stakeholder engagement activities, and contribute to programme reporting and decision-making processes.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
We're looking for an organised and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders.
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience supporting projects, programmes or corporate initiatives.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting reports and correspondence.
- Confidence working with senior officers, elected members and partner organisations.
- Experience coordinating meetings, events and governance activity.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to produce clear, professional documentation.
- An interest in local government, public policy and supporting major programmes of change.

Salary range
- £29,167 - £30,934 per year
