  • Assess operator submissions and report on performance against agreed standards.
  • Coordinate and manage partnership meetings, including agendas, minutes, actions and forward planning.
  • Review monthly, quarterly and annual reports for accuracy.
  • Manage the presentation and delivery of key plans such as the Annual Service Plan, Marketing Plan, PPM schedules and community engagement plans.

  • Work with finance to monitor leisure‑related budgets, utilities and invoices.
  • Produce reports for senior officers, Cabinet and scrutiny committees, including FOI responses.
  • Act as the first point of contact for complaints related to the leisure contract.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Experience of leisure operations and community leisure services.
  • Strong contract monitoring, data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective IT skills, particularly within leisure or activity‑based systems.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
  • Experience of complaint handling and customer‑facing services.

Desirable:

  • Degree in leisure management, sport, health or wellbeing disciplines.
  • Project management qualification.
  • Experience of building management and works inspections.
  • Leisure operator qualifications.
  • Experience delivering participation or wellbeing‑focused projects.

What’s in it for you?

  • Flexi‑time and opportunity for part‑week remote working (subject to agreement).
  • Generous annual leave entitlement starting at 24 days (pro rata), rising with service.
  • A range of development opportunities aligned to your career goals.
  • Employee wellbeing support.
  • Free onsite parking.
  • Local Government Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions.
  • The chance to make a real difference to leisure services across the borough.
