    Are you an organised and proactive administrator looking to make a real impact in a dynamic legal environment? We’re looking for a Legal Operations Administrator to join our Legal Services team and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our legal operations.

Willingness to attend the Council Offices at least 3 days per week.

    About the role:
    As a Legal Operations Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of our legal service delivery—supporting everything from court bundle preparation and document sealing to recruitment coordination and records management. You’ll work closely with legal professionals, helping to ensure our services are efficient, compliant, and client-focused.

    Reading Borough Council is seeking a proactive Legal Operations Administrator to join our Legal Services team. You’ll play a vital role in supporting efficient and effective service delivery, working closely with legal professionals and service managers.

    Key responsibilities for the role:

    • Prepare and organise court bundles, including digital sharing via SharePoint
    • Process purchase order requests and manage records using DocuSign
    • Conduct HM Land Registry searches and communicate results
    • Support recruitment activities and HR processes
    • Monitor shared inboxes and distribute legal advice requests
    • Administer the court portal and maintain learning & development records
    • Manage incoming/outgoing post, scan documents, and distribute to fee earners
    • Take notes and prepare action logs at team meetings
    • Conduct inductions for new starters and manage leavers
    • Support advocacy events and training delivery
    • Organise file reviews and track annual appraisals
    • Collate responses to satisfaction surveys and organise print room requests
    • Provide cover for the Finance, Data & Systems Administrator as required
    • Support and train Legal Operations Apprentices
