    Oakdene Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and creative Learning Assistant Level 2 + SEN to join our friendly and committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where professional development is encouraged, and every child is valued.

    Oakdene Primary School would like to appoint a caring, thoughtful, pro-active Learning Assistant who will support children at our friendly and welcoming school. You will work with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils while also promoting pupil independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. You will assist pupils so they can access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement.

    NVQ Level 2 qualification or working towards NVQ Level 2 is desirable, as is experience of working as a Learning Support Assistant supporting SEN in a primary School setting.

    The duties will include the following:
    · Supporting children in classes, including those with Special Educational Needs.
    · Supporting individual children or small groups of children in all subjects.

    . Providing medical support as required.
    · Providing administrative support to teaching staff including provision of displays and record keeping.
    · Promotion of our School Values.

    · Establishing positive relationships with parents/carers.
    · Supporting extra-curricular activities and events.

    The successful candidate will uphold our school values of Responsibility, Respect, Friendship Honesty, Determination and Excellence whilst developing a love of learning for our children.

    The post will be reviewed annually, it is subject to funding and will cease if funding is discontinued or the child/children leave the school.
