    Wargrave Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and creative Learning Assistant Level 2 + SEN to join our friendly and committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where professional development is encouraged, and every child is valued.

    The successful candidate will fully support the school’s Christian ethos and be committed to building pupils’ self-esteem, self-discipline and love of learning to underpin their progress in the basic skills.

    NVQ Level 2 Qualification or above is desirable as is experience of working in a relevant primary phase as a Learning Assistant supporting the class teacher and learners.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to work 1-1 with SEND pupils, as well as support a small SEND sensory group and assist the classroom teacher.

    This post is subject to SEN Funding and will cease when funding is no longer available

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide targeted support and intervention for SEND pupils, both individually and in small groups
    • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
    • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities
    • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
    • Monitor and record pupil progress, and provide feedback to teachers

    Requirements:

    • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
    • Experience working with SEND pupils in an educational setting
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
    • Enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development

    Desirable Qualities:

    • Knowledge of specific SEND needs and effective teaching strategies
    • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently
    • Commitment to continuous professional development
