About the Role

Learning and Development Business Improvement Team are looking to recruit a Business Support Assistant. The Business Improvement Team provide essential business support to the L&D Service Managers across North Northamptonshire Council and Northamptonshire Children's Trust.

This role provides essential administrative support for all Learning and Development activities. You will be part of a busy, customer focused team, ensuring that all the customer needs are met efficiently and professionally.

What will you be doing

You will act as the first point of contact for all L&D enquiries, management of emails, calls and correspondence.

Provide end to end administrative support for course bookings, including liaising with advisors, trainers, suppliers, booking venues, uploading course details onto the LMS [iLearn] and managing delegate communications.

Schedule regular individual course owner meetings, to co-ordinate all course administration for the L&D Open Programme.

Produce a range of documents and monitoring reports for advisors, including course/delegate monitoring reports, registers and evaluations, to support efficient service delivery.

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues. Provide on-site customer support at conferences and training events.

Manage diaries, schedules, and stock control for training supplies. Support financial processes including raising invoices, journals and purchase orders. Undertake other duties as required within the scope of the role.

About you

About you.

You will be proficient in MS Office and internet/email usage. Have strong literacy and numeracy skills. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Be able to prepare and analyse data for management reports. Have experience working as part of a team providing administrative support. Be able to work to deadlines. On occasion, travel freely to external venues to support with conferences and training events out of normal regular hours for continuity of service. Embrace change and utilising new technologies to improve efficiencies in the service.
