Our Team:

The PA to the Leader is part of the Democratic Services Team, working with the Committee Services and Electoral Services teams. This is a non-political role working with Councillors from all political parties, and political awareness is essential. This post is office based to meet the needs of the service, Monday – Friday.#


Hours: 37 per week


Your Contributions:
• The PA to the Leader provides a comprehensive and confidential secretarial service to the Leader of the Council and supports the Members from all political parties.
• To manage a busy electronic diary, arranging and scheduling meetings and briefings both internally and externally, including booking rooms / venues / refreshments, preparation of agendas and organisation of any travel requirements.
• To manage the Leader’s In Box and answer queries and compose emails and letters in response to matters judged not to require the Leader’s personal attention, or at the Leader’s request.
• To assist in the provision and implementation of the ongoing programme of Member development including induction training for any new Members, and liaising with internal and external organisations to provide relevant training courses.
