An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our ambitious good school.


We are currently involved in the Dfe’s School’s Rebuilding Programme and are very excited at the
prospect of being in a state of the art building due for completion in Summer 2027. Recently qualified
and potential ECTs are also encouraged to apply, stating their curriculum strengths on their
application form.


The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, passionate and aspirational teacher who is
committed to innovative teaching and able to work as part of our team. The successful candidate will
be an outstanding teacher, highly enthusiastic about teaching and learning, strive for continual
improvement and have high standards for themselves and the children.
In addition, the Governing Body has formally voted to transition Lydiate Primary and Nursery School
to academy status, with the intention of joining Southport Learning Trust. This marks an important
next step in securing long-term sustainability, collaboration and opportunity for our pupils, staff and
wider community


The successful candidate will have:
An excellent understanding and thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum.
An excellent understanding of assessment for learning.
An outstanding teacher who can plan and resource a learning environment that inspires and
creates a sustained interest from the children and challenges thinking.
Commitment to working with parents, governors, the wider school community and future trust
colleagues.
Be willing to contribute to everyday life at Lydiate Primary School such as after school clubs,
fund raising events, sports events.
Experience/interest in leading a subject would be desirable. Please state expertise.
