About the role
The Housing Department are looking for a self-motivated individual with a confident and professional approach, with the desire to provide support for independent living for customers in Sheltered Housing within the District of Cannock Chase.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Tenancy Services Team and will be expected to deliver a high quality professional service with the aim to provide a comprehensive range of housing related support that is tailored to meet the needs of customers.
About you
You should have previous experience in a customer focused Housing related environment, together with experience of Housing Management advice and support, along with liaising and working in partnership with a range of professional agencies.
You must have the ability to use Microsoft Office Packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook and have sufficient numeracy skills in order to produce statistical reports. You must also be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and be able to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.
You should have the ability to develop support plans and prioritise your own work in order to meet performance deadlines. You must have the relevant knowledge and awareness of the issues affecting vulnerable people and have an awareness and understanding of the needs of a diverse community.
An NVQ Level 3 or above in Housing Practice is desirable or be able to demonstrate equivalent vocational experience.
Relevant knowledge of Housing Management Law would also be desirable to the role.
Due to the requirement to work across schemes within the district, access to suitable transport is essential.
