We are recruiting an Inclusion (Youth Work/EOTAS) Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

We pay an attractive salary of £42,839 - £46,142 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced practitioner to act as a senior member of the Youth Service Leadership Team, responsible for delivering high quality youth work and educational provision across a designated geographical area.

The postholder will lead and manage a diverse workforce, oversee physical assets, and provide instructional and project leadership for specialist initiatives such as EOTAS, ALN, and vulnerability related programmes.

Working under the strategic direction of the EOTAS Lead Officer, the role blends youth work principles with formal education responsibilities, ensuring learners have access to a broad and balanced curriculum delivered across daytime, evening, weekend and holiday periods.

As part of the Youth Service Senior Leadership Team, the postholder will contribute to all matters of Youth Service development, including policy, but will also be subject to specific guidance from and reporting to the Lead Officer for EOTAS services for EOTAS specific activity.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A National Professional qualification in Youth Work (BA/MA)
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent development and the implications for those with behavioural, social and emotional needs
  • A high level of digital literacy to be able to use Youth Work and EOTAS data platforms with accuracy
  • A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes

Youth Worker posts which require Education Workforce Council registration:

The Education (Wales) Act 2014 and the Education Workforce Council (Main Functions) (Wales) Regulations 2015 as amended, set out the requirement for qualified youth workers and qualified youth support workers to be registered in the category or categories of registration for the work the undertake.

Your employment will be subject to satisfactory documentary evidence of registration, and continuing registration, as a qualified youth worker or qualified youth support work.
