We are looking for HR Business Partners to join our team who will share our values and play a key role in shaping a positive, high-performing workplace culture, with a workforce that can meet the current and future needs of our community.
As a HR Business Partner you will contribute to the delivery of a high quality HR Service across the full range of HR activity with a focus on supporting managers to effectively manage their workforce and fulfil their responsibilities in compliance with best practice, policy and legislation. One of the positions available will support the HR Service for Schools.
You will be responsible for:
- Contributing to and supporting the delivery of the Workforce Strategy to improve service delivery through effective people management and organisational development initiatives.
- Provision of professional advice and support in relation to recruitment and selection, resolution of challenging and complex employee relations matters, disciplinaries, grievances, sickness absence and performance management.
- Enabling and supporting service transformation through the use of effective Organisational Development interventions and Human Resource Management strategies.
- Supporting the performance management culture within Schools and Directorates, including capability related casework and advising and guiding managers and headteachers through the relevant policies.
- Working in partnership with trade unions and key stakeholders.
You will be CIPD qualified (level 5 as a minimum) or equivalent with a knowledge of employment legislation and its application. A proven track record and experience of working in Human Resources dealing with complex employee relations matters is essential.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive
pre-employment screening process will be undertaken which will include an Enhanced Disclosure with Child Barred List.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for working purposes is a requirement of the role.
