HR ASSISTANT

Grade D: £28,142 to £30,024 per year (£14.59 to £15.56 per hour) (pay award pending)
Type: Temporary contract (up to 12 months)
Hours: 37 hours per week (working Monday to Friday inclusive)
Location: Long Eaton Town Hall

Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys supporting people, improving processes and using data to drive better decisions? Join our friendly HR team and play a key role in delivering high-quality HR services across Erewash Borough Council.
This is a busy and rewarding role, supporting managers and employees across the employee lifecycle. From recruitment and onboarding to absence management and employee wellbeing, you'll provide professional HR support while ensuring our records and processes are accurate, efficient and compliant.
A key part of the role will be producing and analysing HR data, reports and management information, helping to identify trends and support informed decision-making across the organisation.
About You
You'll have previous HR administration experience, excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. You will be confident working with HR systems, handling sensitive information and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You'll ideally have experience of:
- Recruitment and onboarding administration.
- Absence monitoring and supporting managers in sickness absence management
- HR systems administration, producing reports and analysing data.
- HR administration
- Advising on HR policies and procedures.
Experience of iTrent HR/Payroll systems or local government HR would be an advantage.
