We are recruiting a Housing Strategy Officerat Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Location: Office based / Home working / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Caerphilly Homes Development and Strategy team for a Housing Strategy Officer.
The role has been created to support the Principal Housing Strategy Officer to deliver the Caerphilly Local Housing Strategy and the aims contained therein; the Local Housing Market Assessment; the Gypsy Traveller Accommodation Assessment (GTAA) and to bring momentum and governance to the Affordable Homes Partnership, which has been established as a vehicle to deliver against the aims and objectives contained within the Caerphilly CBC/Registered Social Landlord Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The successful postholder will also support the delivery of new affordable homes through developing a thorough understanding of the Programme Development Plan process and the allocation of Social Housing Grant. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a highly motived, passionate and well performing team.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Level 4 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW).
- Good understanding of the contribution that good quality, affordable homes make towards tackling poverty; health and wellbeing; social care; education and regeneration.
- Relevant experience of developing housing policy, strategy and delivery.
- Full Category B (Cars) driving license and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to attend meetings, visit sites etc.
