Our Team:

Based at Runcorn Town Hall, the Housing Solutions Team are looking to recruit an experienced Housing Solutions Advisor.

The service is responsible for the administration function and the Local Authority statutory requirements across homelessness.

Hours: 37

Your Contributions:

For this post we are looking for an experienced dynamic individual, who will be able to provide advice on a wide range of issues such as statutory homelessness, relationship breakdown, mortgage arrears, landlord and tenant problems. As the successful applicant you must therefore be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge and understanding of the legislation relevant to these areas of work. Duties will include dealing with the public, processing homeless applications, using I.T software and dealing with all general enquiries.

You will have:

  • Experience in Homelessness Legislation and a proven ability to work effectively with partners.
  • Experience of working within homelessness or housing environments, with an understanding of the statutory requirements and knowledge of homelessness criteria and code of guidance.
  • Good customer service skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Be IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
