    HOUSING REPAIRS MANAGER

    £55,409 - £57,674 per annum

Mansfield is a town of towns at the centre of things in Nottinghamshire - a place of many strong connections but with a character all its own. Mansfield, like its Housing service, has faced change unafraid and is openly embracing new ideas and new ways of working as it builds and renews neighbourhoods and new communities.

The council is a stock holding authority with close to 6,300 homes across the district. Maintaining good quality and accessible social housing is a key part of our approach and our values; we know how vital it is for residents to have a safe and warm home environment, and the positive impact this can have on reducing inequalities and improving health and wellbeing.

We are proud that tenant satisfaction surveys benchmark the authority higher than peer median scores of other registered social landlords in England – but we know that we need to do more.

Following a C2 judgement from the Regulator of Social Housing, the council aims towards achieving C1 status and be the best we can be for our tenants and residents. We have agreed an improvement and transformation plan with the Regulator and the recruitment of these new roles forms part of our commitment to transform.

Following a recent restructure, we are seeking a Housing Repairs Manager to lead our ambitious plans to transform the Responsive Repairs service. You will play a key role in responsive repairs delivery as well as void properties, materials and stores; drive culture change, and ensure that tenants get the best possible service. Candidates will need experience of leading teams in a housing repairs environment, as well as the leadership skills to forge an improved service.

For an informal conversation about the role please contact Jill Finnesey at jfinnesey@mansfield.gov.uk.

Canvassing of Members of the Council (directly or indirectly) for any appointment shall disqualify the candidate for that appointment. Applicants should disclose if they are related to a Member or Officer of the Authority.

    Closing date: 12 October 2025
    Interviews: w/c 20 October 2024

Mansfield District Council is an Equal Opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the Community.
