    About Camden

At Camden, we’re building somewhere everyone can thrive. Our borough is one of the most vibrant and diverse places in the UK – and we’re working hard to make sure nobody gets left behind. We’re not just home to a fast-growing economy, we’re home to radical social change, creativity, and innovation. Join us, and you’ll help decide a better future for everyone.

    The role

As a Housing Repairs Co-ordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our Housing Repairs Contact Centre. You’ll manage all incoming and ongoing customer contact, planning and scheduling responsive repair works from start to finish.

From booking appointments and allocating jobs to our trade staff, through to monitoring progress and ensuring works are completed, you’ll make sure our residents get a first-class service every time. You’ll be the first point of contact for trades staff and contractors, keeping everything on track in real time.

This is a busy and rewarding role where no two days are the same – and where your work directly improves the day-to-day lives of our residents.

    What you’ll do

    • Take ownership of customer enquiries, diagnosing and logging repairs accurately.

    • Book and schedule repair works, allocating the right jobs to the right operatives.

    • Keep residents updated and ensure a smooth journey from first call to completion.

    • Monitor outstanding repairs and make sure they’re completed on time.

    • Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction.

    • Contribute to team targets and service improvements.

    • Handle high call volumes with professionalism, patience, and care.

    About you

    We’re looking for someone who:

    • Has experience in a busy contact centre or scheduling role.

    • Is confident handling high call volumes while providing excellent customer care.

    • Can diagnose and raise repairs accurately using IT systems.

    • Works well under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

    • Enjoys working with others to solve problems and improve services.

    • Communicates clearly and warmly with residents, colleagues, and contractors.

    • Is flexible and able to work to shift patterns when needed.

    Working for Camden

At Camden, we’re not afraid to do things differently. We welcome your ideas, your views, and your energy. In return, we offer a flexible and supportive environment, a range of staff benefits, and the opportunity to help redefine what a career in local government can be.

    Inclusion and Diversity

We want Camden Council to reflect the communities we serve. That means we value diversity in all its forms, including diversity of thought. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and other Ethnic Minority communities, LGBTQ+, disabled, and neurodiverse candidates.

Equalities and justice sit at the heart of what we do, and we need diverse voices to help us make a real difference.
