We are looking for a new Housing Options Officer, this post plays a key role in the prevention of homelessness in the Borough.
Housing Options Officers work with customers to prevent them from becoming homeless. They must operate within the legal framework and internal policies whilst carrying out in depth housing assessments and investigate applications for assistance whilst identifying how to ensure each customer maintains a home. This may be working with customers to save their current home or helping them to find a new one.
This is a busy and pressurised role, you will hold a caseload and you will be responsible for ensuring the Council adheres to its legal responsibilities.
You will work closely with all other teams within the housing service whose primary focus is to prevent and relieve homelessness.

The role is expected to be across our Andover and Romsey Offices with some flexibility for home working.
