This is a frontline, varied and rewarding role requiring sound judgement, resilience, and a commitment to supporting others.

About you

  • Experience in a customer-facing or people-centred role
  • An understanding of housing advice, homelessness, or related services
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and a commitment to equality and safeguarding
  • The ability to manage casework, maintain accurate records, and use IT systems effectively

You will also be organised, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A willingness to visit customers, work flexibly (including an out-of-hours rota), and uphold Council values is essential.

In addition to working within a great team and a comprehensive salary you will have access to:

  • 26.5 days basic annual leave (increasing with service) + bank holidays. Pleasenote: annual leave will be pro-rated for anyone who does not have a standard full-time pattern of 37 hours over 5 days, e.g. part-timers
  • Local Government Pension Scheme
