About the role
Are you passionate about delivering high-quality housing services and making a real impact in people’s lives? Crawley Homes is looking for a dedicated and proactive Housing Officer to join our dynamic Tenancy Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a front-line role, supporting tenants and managing a wide range of housing responsibilities including tenancy management, income recovery, voids, and estate services.
As a Housing Officer, you’ll be responsible for:
- managing tenancies, including changes, terminations, and mutual exchanges
- supporting tenants with income management and arrears recovery
- letting void properties efficiently and sensitively
- conducting property inspections and estate management duties
- liaising with tenants, contractors, and partner agencies
- promoting community development and responding to safeguarding concerns
We’re seeking an individual who:
- is an excellent communicator with strong negotiation and organisational skills
- has a good understanding of housing law, welfare benefits, and safeguarding
- is customer-focused and committed to continuous service improvement
- can work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends in response to the requirements of the post
- holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a suitable vehicle

Additional information
This is an 18-month fixed-term contract, offered on a part-time basis (29.6 hours per week) across four working days, with Tuesday proposed as the non-working day.
This post is subject to a satisfactory clearance of a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check.
A full current UK driving licence and use of a suitable vehicle are requirements of the role.
