We are looking for a self-motivated and well organised individual for the post of Housing Needs Officer. You will be required to manage a caseload along with undertaking housing options / homelessness interviews and enquiries as required.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills especially to manage competing workloads at peak times.
A good working knowledge of Homelessness legislation is desirable though not essential, although extensive experience of working with assessment, providing housing advice and having a knowledge of welfare benefits is essential
Pendle is in Lancashire’s scenic Pennines, close to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Manchester.

Local Government Reorganisation
The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, Pennine and West Lancashire from April 2028.
If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Pendle Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to Pennine Lancashire from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.

Salary range
- £28,598 - £31,022 per year
