Roles are either ‘site based’ or ‘home based’.
Site based roles are mainly based at the workplace, with the option to work from home for up to two days a week, depending on service needs.
Home based roles are mainly based at home, with the expectation of attending the workplace up to one day a week.
The working arrangement for each role is set by the manager, based on service requirements.
Job IntroductionWe’re recruiting a Housing Capital Projects Manager to help deliver and shape major investment projects across our housing stock.

In this rewarding role, you’ll lead the delivery of complex housing capital projects across a housing portfolio of more than 11,000 homes. You’ll manage significant investment programmes, work closely with residents and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to a high standard.
You’ll play a key role in improving homes, enhancing building safety, supporting sustainability objectives and ensuring residents receive excellent outcomes from our investment programmes.
Site-Based role
This is a Site-Based role, and you’ll be expected to work from the designated workplace.

Role Responsibilities- Lead and manage complex housing capital projects and programmes from initial scope through to completion.
- Oversee projects with significant budgets and ensure delivery to agreed quality, cost and timescale requirements.
- Manage and monitor consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers to achieve value for money and compliance with procurement requirements.
- Work closely with residents, leaseholders, resident groups and other stakeholders to ensure meaningful engagement, consultation and satisfaction throughout projects.
- Ensure robust governance, risk management, financial management, monitoring and reporting arrangements are in place across all projects.
- Maintain accurate asset information and ensure building, equipment and warranty data is updated and shared appropriately across services.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and Consumer Standards.
- Provide clear project updates and professional advice to senior leaders and key decision makers.
- Educated to degree level in surveying, construction, contract management or a related discipline, with substantial experience delivering housing capital works projects.
- An experienced project leader with a strong track record of managing major capital investment projects within occupied residential properties.
- You’ll have a detailed understanding of housing, property and contract management matters, including relevant building safety, fire safety and construction legislation.
- A confident communicator who can build positive relationships with residents, contractors, consultants, regulators and senior stakeholders.
- Someone who can manage significant budgets, balance competing priorities and make informed decisions in complex environments.
- With a strong eye for risk, you’ll identify issues early and take effective action to resolve contractual, operational and delivery challenges.

- £53,460 - £58,749 per year
