Castle Point Borough Council are keen to appoint a Business Support Officer to work in the Housing Services Directorate, to be a part of the team to deliver a resident focused, data led, performance driven service. Ensuring that the homes are maintained in accordance with agreed quality standards. You will contribute to ensuring the delivery of a customer focused, effective and value for money service, reflecting the highest standards of service excellence.
*Please note that this role will be based in the council offices and will require regular travel to sites in the borough*
Key Skills and abilities
- To coordinate and book in all required survey inspections with residents and housing surveyors.
- To check housing surveyor inspections, raise works orders to contractors, keeping residents updated on all works within their homes.
- To triage reports of damp and mould, recoding results and taking all appropriate action as set out in damp and mould policy and procedure.
- To ensure our contractors are completing works and providing relevant certification within the timescales set out in the contract.
- To assist the HTS Managers in ensuring all remedial works across all HTS service areas are raised, tracked and completed accordingly.
- To assist the HTS team in maintaining budget provisions by ensuring all approved jobs up to the value of £1k are justified and completed to a good standard, and priced in line with the Contract.
- To ensure that certification is stored electronically and for the required amount of time for each compliance area on the relevant IT systems.
- To assist the HTS Managers with compiling relevant information for Key Performance Indicators.
- To assist in ensuring key database IT systems are kept updated in regard to compliance areas. The current used system is Apex.
Experience
Previous practical experience working within the same or similar role is essential
