    About the role

    This is an opportunity to join the Housing Adaptations Service, an integrated team of Occupational Therapists (OT) and technical officers providing housing adaptations for disabled residents across the city. This role will allow you to make a real difference in the lives of our service users, promoting personal independence and safety in daily lives. In this role you will be:

    • Providing technical expertise and advice
    • Carrying out domestic surveys to determine feasibility of adaptations,
    • Costing of recommended schemes,
    • Preparing scale drawings in appropriate cases and documentation for Building Regulation and Planning approval as necessary.
    • Monitoring works in progress, working with a framework of specialist contractors, with a commitment to ensuring best value and excellent customer care.

    We can offer flexible working, with an office location in Hove and options for hybrid working. Training and development opportunities are available and encouraged.

    Additional information

    Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
