Whitegrove is a large, successful and over-subscribed primary school on the north-east side of Bracknell. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our talented staff team. The HLTA (SEN) will lead a small team to teach and support some of our most complex learners by leading highly personalised provision guided by our Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion. Duties will include: working 1:1 or with small groups to support language and communication needs, planning a highly personalised curriculum for up to 4 children based in our Nest provision and leading a small team of LSAs.

The successful candidate will have:

  • experience of working in at least one school setting with SEN children
  • training relating to specific SEN needs including ASD and Language and communication
  • good organisation skills, be methodical and have the ability to prioritise
  • proficient IT skills and strong oral and written communication skills
  • ability to relate to children and families and maintain confidentiality
  • a proactive attitude approach to problem solving
  • initiative and be unflappable under pressure in order to meet the needs of the school
