Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Edgewick Community Primary School

We are pleased to invite applications for a committed, enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, confident in leading whole-class sessions, and eager to contribute to the nurturing, inclusive environment of our school.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead whole-class learning in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support high‑quality teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 (depending on skills and experience).
• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under the guidance of teachers.
• Provide targeted interventions to support progress in areas such as phonics, reading, writing and maths.
• Foster positive relationships with pupils to support their wellbeing, engagement and development.
• Assist with assessment, tracking and reporting on pupil progress.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including playground duties, supporting routines and helping to maintain a positive school ethos.
• Support and deliver TA CPD.

Edgewick is a 2-form entry primary school situated on the Foleshill Road. We have the highest expectations for all staff and pupils and are passionate about the enrichment of an appropriate and tailored curriculum for all.
