This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy and dedicated Private Sector Housing Team. Burnley Council’s Home Improvement Agency (HIA) is dedicated to helping older, disabled and vulnerable residents across the borough to live safely and independently in their own homes. We are looking to appoint a handyperson to provide equipment, adaptations and minor repairs for clients who are vulnerable, elderly or disabled. The role is aimed at reducing falls, promoting independence, and improving quality of life.
In order to be successful as Handyperson you would require the following key skills, knowledge & experience:
- Proven experience of providing repairs & maintenance services.
- Experience of assessing and carrying out repairs to residential properties.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering the best customer service to a diverse range of customers.
- You must be able to manage confidential / personal information in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations.
- A recognised qualification minimum level 3 in the Building / Construction Industry e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds Craft Certificate or equivalent.

Salary range
- £33,699 - £36,363 per year
