Due to the retirement of our current Headteacher, we are looking for a new Headteacher for our successful school. New Mills, in Derbyshire's Peak District, is famous for the Torrs Riverside Park, a dramatic gorge featuring the award-winning Millennium Walkway. Our school benefits from good transport links to Manchester and Sheffield.
We are a one form entry, inclusive and family orientated school, striving to continually build on our current strengths. We have extensive grounds with a focus on outdoor learning with a woodland trail and a Forest School.

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader who:
- Can build excellent relationships with children, staff, parents, Governors and the wider community and promote a restorative approach
- Is committed to excellence in teaching and learning with an inclusive ethos and promotion of a strong SEND team
- Values and promotes a broad and balanced curriculum that meets all children’s needs
- Will help children enjoy their learning while realising their full potential and connecting with the secondary schools to ensure a positive transition
- Will promote the emotional wellbeing of staff
- Will continue our strong commitment and partnership working with the PTA and the Peak Edge Group of Schools (PEGS)
