Longton Lane Community Primary School is seeking an outstanding, enthusiastic and dedicated leader and manager as our new Head Teacher from January 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where professional development is encouraged, and every child is valued.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a collaborative, supportive and inspirational leader who will bring individuals together as a team to work for the good of the pupils, staff and wider community
- Can communicate clearly, build trust and celebrate our school’s strengths
- Is committed to high standards and achieving the best outcomes for all
- Has a passion for growth and development of our school with a proven commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and school improvement
- Continues to build strong relationships with pupils, parent and, colleagues
- Can manage resources effectively to meet the needs of all children, maintaining a well-equipped and stimulating learning environment
Previous headship experience is desirable. We will also consider an exceptional deputy or acting head with the right strategic and operational leadership experience.
Working at Longton Lane Primary School
Our school has an exciting new school building which opened in January 2025. Having new outdoor spaces to enjoy means that we are also working on expanding our Outdoor Play And Learning (OPAL) programme, which has already been in place for several years. We are dedicated to providing and promoting a stimulating learning environment where everybody feels safe and secure to attempt new challenges in life.
