The Governing Body of Farnborough Road Junior School is looking to appoint an inspirational, dedicated and enthusiastic Headteacher who has the vision to lead our community and inspire everyone to achieve our aim of ‘Belonging Together, Learning Together, Achieving Together’.

About the school

We are a highly respected, hardworking school community with an excellent reputation for being inclusive, caring and dedicated. We are a popular four-form entry Junior School with over 450 pupils on roll and we have strong links with our partner Infant School. We share a site and a vision to work together to provide the best opportunities for children in our care.

Whilst we are a large school, we have a strong emphasis on creating an environment that feels like one family. This has been enabled through structures and organisation which have created a calm and supportive environment for pupils and staff.

Pupils are happy and enjoy coming to school. Together with our parents and the wider community we have a school which is caring, welcoming and encouraging. We have high expectations and we want pupils to thrive but we are determined to treat every pupil as an individual.

We are proud of the achievements of all our children and the school community and we are now looking for a leader to take us to even more success in the future.

The Role

As Headteacher, you will provide strategic direction, leadership and management for the school, driving excellence and improvement.
