Due to the retirement of our Headteacher, the Governing Body of this popular and successful Catholic school are looking to appoint an experienced, ambitious and exceptional leader who is a practising Catholic and who is capable of inspiring, motivating and supporting pupils and staff to achieve their full potential.

St Paul’s is a little oasis in the centre of the Beechwood Estate where children are cared for and nurtured in an environment rooted deeply in Catholic values. We are a warm, welcoming and inclusive school and we are an integral part of the Parish and of the Beechwood Community.
Although the school is situated in an area of high deprivation, our children make excellent progress during their time with us. Relationships are strong across the school and visitors always remark upon the children’s outstanding behaviour. Living out our mission statement “Together in Faith, Working as One” we support children in becoming compassionate global citizens and encourage them to reach their full potential in all aspects of school life.

The school is rated Good by both Ofsted and The Catholic Schools Inspectorate. We are looking for a Headteacher with a high level of ambition who can continue the development of the school.

The successful applicant will be someone who:

Is an aspirational leader ensuring high quality teaching and learning with the ability to build upon the existing rich curriculum and who has high expectations of children’s attainment, achievement and behaviour, supporting every child to develop and reach their own unique, individual potential.
Has a proven track record of success in Primary education.

St Paul’s can offer you:
A loving, nurturing community where we celebrate our strong Catholic faith and ethos
Happy children who are proud of St Paul’s, who love learning and who aspire to achieve great things
An excellent and committed Governing Body and staff team who are dedicated to improving the lives of our pupils
A school where we live out our Mission statement – “Together in Faith, Working as One”
A commitment to your wellbeing and professional development
