About the role

Are you bold, ambitious and ready to shape something extraordinary?

We’re looking for a standout leader with the imagination, confidence and energy to drive genuine, system-wide transformation. This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity, sees possibility where others see limitations, and has the courage and resilience to challenge colleagues and partners to test new and innovative ways of working.

If you’re driven by challenge, motivated by purpose and excited by the opportunity to leave a legacy, we want to hear from you.

Bring your courage, creativity and appetite for change — and let’s transform North Northamptonshire together.

What will you be doing?

As our Head of Transformation & PMO, you’ll be at the heart of delivering North Northamptonshire Council’s corporate plan by owning the transformation portfolio and pipeline end to end.

You will be leading major programmes, modernising services, and creating new operating models that improve outcomes for our communities. You’ll bring strategic clarity, delivery discipline and creative thinking, inspiring a high-performing team while working closely with senior leaders, Members and partners across health, emergency services, voluntary organisations and the wider public sector. You’ll also deputise for the Director of Transformation & Strategy, shaping direction at the highest level.

About you

We’re looking for someone with exceptional leadership, deep transformation expertise and the ability to energise people around a compelling vision. Someone who thrives at pace, cuts through complexity and turns bold ideas into real, tangible impact. In return, you’ll have the platform, autonomy and influence to make a lasting difference and help build the future of a young and ambitious council.
