We are recruiting a Head of Service within the Adult Social Care and Health Directorate.Vital to this ambition is our leadership team who will drive this transformational approach, embed new ways of working and deliver our ambition
The Role:
- As the Head of Service Governance, Improvement & Development you will be providing leadership to the wider department on areas of assurance, improvement and be a lead advocate for change across the directorate, wider council and strategic partners• As the successful Head of Service Governance, Improvement & Development you will be a highly skilled and experienced individual who has extensive knowledge of the statutory requirements across Adult Social Care and Health
- As the Head of Service Governance, Improvement & Development you will be highly motivated, supportive and able to work autonomously within the national legislative framework and governance arrangements of Liverpool City Council and the wider Care and Health system
- In the role of Head of Service Governance, Improvement & Development you will manage complex budgets, lead on performance management, programmes of continuous improvement and embed a culture of high-quality services that provide the best outcomes for people
- You, the Head of Service Governance, Improvement & Development will also need to be resilient and have the ability to manage complex change and innovation programmes, whilst maintaining service delivery and quality standards. You will lead on embedding a positive culture and new ways of working in your service area, keeping the focus on the person at the centre of service delivery

Salary range
- £75,869 - £81,317 per year
